About Replik

Replik brings people together through media and events that entertain, inspire and start conversations that matter.

Whether it's through live performances, community workshops or bold opinion pieces, we create inclusive experiences that encourage new ways of thinking.

Our name comes from the word replik (rep-leek), meaning retort, reply or spoken line, and reflects our belief in the power of dialogue.

We work with everyone from household names to grassroots organisations. Our events are built in partnership with local communities, making space for voices that don't always get heard and bridging the gap between the arts and underrepresented audiences.

At  the heart of everything we do is a commitment to integrity, fairness and inclusivity. We're not just here to put on a good show; we’re here to entertain with purpose.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

ben venables

Ben is an arts journalist usually found covering Edinburgh’s festivals. He was Deputy Editor at Fest Magazine and Comedy Editor at The Skinny. Alongside his written work, Ben has co-presented a festival radio show and a podcast, and also worked as a script reader in film.

He co-founded Replik because he believes cultural discussion works best when it’s a level playing field – where people can care equally about football, soap opera and Shakespeare. He drinks tea by the gallon, enjoys running while listening to The Beatles and is a lifelong supporter of Luton Town.
